Managing Your Time and Productivity

So I came across this Mac App called “RescueTime“.  It allows you to track and publish data about what you are spending the most time doing while you are using your computer.  It helped me to realize that I need to cut down on the “Youtubing” and “Facebooking” and get to work!

You can keep your stuff private, otherwise you can make it public and even embed your data on your site.  Below I have my current usage stats on my computer.  It not only tracks just applications, but also websites you visit!  You can also tag everything and sort of organize and put stuff into categories. 

I highly recommend this app for those who have trouble getting to business, or even for those who are curious and want to see where their time is spent.

To be honest I didn’t get the app to save time, I just thought it sounded like something cool to try out.  So I did!

All in all I kind of realized i’d like to spend less time on the computer, and having more fun in real life (IRL ;)).  I also learned that I spend way too much time on sites like youtube and facebook.  If I were to cut down on the usage of those two sites, a lot of my time would be saved.
