I’m sure you all know how to use them, just go into your account and then billing, and then funding sources.  Sometimes I have problems when it asks you for a password though.  I always type in the right one but it says I got it wrong.

I spent a little bit of time today researching some good places to find GOOD free Wordpress themes. The keyword there is “good”. I see so many bad Wordpress themes used over and over again so I thought I would put together a list some of the places I go to for some good free Wordpress themes.

I originally was going to post individual themes, but found there are already other posts doing the same. So I just linked to those ones!

“Cow has a point.”

I’m posting this in response to an interesting post Jon Cow made on his blog entitled “Getting the Party Started“. The original intent was to post this as a comment, but I decided it was just getting a little too lengthy. I also thought I could make use of the methods in his post.

This isn’t so much a response on the post itself, but something I thought goes right along with it that can’t be without mention.

When you have those 20 posts of awesome content and you are ready to start making your blog popular, I think there is one other huge aspect that you have to think about. What is it you say? Well it’s your design! I think to stand out in the blogging world you are going to not only need great content, but a good design that users can remember you by.

The look of the site is a pretty big deal for me. I never subscribe to blogs, I visit them every time. So even if the blogger’s content is A++, if the site sucks I might not be coming back. A prime example for me was Joel Comm’s old adsense littered blog. Even though I knew the content was decent, I never enjoyed coming back to the site because it only seemed like he was trying to make some cash. It really bothered me.

I think the quality of the design in part might also have an effect on how appealing the content looks to someone. i.e. A good design only makes the content sound even better. I have noticed that if I like a website’s design, I tend to indulge deeper into the content than I would normally do. I get hooked quickly on a good design, even despite what the site has to offer.

You do have to have some content though, this kind of goes back to one of my old posts “Getting people to read your blog“. A design is nice, but when all is said and done you still need something good to keep the reader engaged. This might not be so in certain cases, but in a blog you better believe it.

All in all, it takes a good combination of both content and design to make it in the long run. Great post Cow!

So I came across this Mac App called “RescueTime“.  It allows you to track and publish data about what you are spending the most time doing while you are using your computer.  It helped me to realize that I need to cut down on the “Youtubing” and “Facebooking” and get to work!

You can keep your stuff private, otherwise you can make it public and even embed your data on your site.  Below I have my current usage stats on my computer.  It not only tracks just applications, but also websites you visit!  You can also tag everything and sort of organize and put stuff into categories. 

I highly recommend this app for those who have trouble getting to business, or even for those who are curious and want to see where their time is spent.

To be honest I didn’t get the app to save time, I just thought it sounded like something cool to try out.  So I did!

All in all I kind of realized i’d like to spend less time on the computer, and having more fun in real life (IRL ;)).  I also learned that I spend way too much time on sites like youtube and facebook.  If I were to cut down on the usage of those two sites, a lot of my time would be saved.

I subscribe to a number of different blogs, most of them internet marketing related.  Something that really bothers me is when one internet marketer posts on their blog and then all of the other one’s have to follow.

The one I recently caught is when Webmastertalk and that other place merged together.  Like 4 of the blogs I read had to go and post pretty much the same thing.  I’ve seen it once already, I don’t think I need to see it again1!1

I know I mentioned a few times that I was working on something pretty big that I couldn’t wait to show you guys.  Well, today is the day!  Me and my man Stewart McKay just opened our pride and joy Adsense Excellence to the public.

Basically the site is meant to teach and help others make tons of money using Google Adsense.  There are a vast amount of tutorials and a bunch of other stuff to help you learn the ropes.  The hope is that you’ll learn many things you never thought you would, the best part is that it’s all FREE.
